At only sixteen years old, Ally Rendall is well beyond her years as a songwriter.
The Cambodian-born Brisbane-based indie pop solo artist made her foray into music at the age of eight, armed with an acoustic guitar and her undeniable talent and passion to write and record music that makes people feel something.
After moving to Australia in 2017, Ally quickly found inspiration in her new life in Brisbane, and continued to grow her YouTube channel which she created in 2015 as an outlet to perform covers to a global audience. Clocking up to 20,000 streams on one video alone, Ally’s success on YouTube was enough to put her on the radar of fans and industry alike.
By 2019, Ally released her debut single ‘Who Will Love U’ which has since amassed over 20,000 streams across multiple platforms. Following on from the success of her debut track, Ally Rendall released her latest 2020 single ‘How This Ends’ through Melbourne-based label Teamwrk Records which has welcomed praise from the likes of Triple J Unearthed Music Director, Dave Ruby Howe, Unearthed Australian Music Producer, Claire Mooney, and Triple J Home and Hosed presenter, Declan Burne, “It’s tender songwriting that has that heartbreaking beauty to it, nice one Ally”.
With 2020 already holding so much promise for the natural born talent, Ally has joined management agency Lucky Ent. and has big things on the horizon.
